Caricom Heads of Government agreed to a 10-point action plan and a list of guidelines when they met in a special session in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday for deliberations on the two current public health challenges facing the Community: the Ebola virus and the Chikungunya outbreak.
The Heads were particularly concerned not just about the possible health impact of the Ebola virus but also about the disruption a single case could cause in the economic and social life of the Region.
