President Donald Ramotar yesterday met with executives of the Private Sector Commission (PSC) to discuss several critical issues affecting the local business community, GINA said.
The meeting came amid dramatic developments in the political landscape which can see a motion of no-confidence being moved on Monday against the government, ending its term in office and triggering fresh general elections early next year.
Head of the PSC, Ramesh Persaud in a brief comment to GINA said that the close to two-hour meeting saw intense discussions on several issues.
Persaud said these included “concerns that we have based on recent developments and some other issues surrounding factors affecting our businesses”.
The other PSC members included, Captain Gerry Gouveia, Clinton Williams, Christopher Nascimento, Eddie Boyer and Manniram Prashad. Finance Minister, Dr. Ashni Singh accompanied the president.
