Bishops’ High defeated St. Stanislaus College 48-44 in overtime after normal time concluded with the scores locked on 38-38 when the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) u-19 High School Exchange Pilot Programme continued on Friday.
Played at the St. Stanislaus College basketball court, Timothy Thompson was the top scorer for the Carmichael Street unit registering a game-high 16 points. He was assisted by Michael Lewis who netted 10 points and John Edghill who scored four points from the point guard position.
Top scoring for the home side with 12 points was Nigel Hoppie. He was supported by Travis Belgrave who netted 10 points. Prior to the aforementioned matchup, the GABF presented basketballs to the female sides of St. Stanislaus College and President’s College.
Bishops’ High and St. Rose’s High schools are expected to receive balls on behalf of the federation shortly. The series is set to continue on November 14th at the St. Rose’s basketball court with President’s College facing off with the home side.
