Mark Worrell was yesterday sentenced to 18 months imprisonment after he was found guilty by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry of an armed robbery committed in 2011.
The charge against Worrell was that on July 1, 2011, being in the company of others and armed with a gun, he stole a Taurus revolver and six rounds of ammunition, valued in total at $130,000, from RK’s Security Services.
Worrell had pleaded not guilty to the charge and was found guilty at a trial.
After taking into consideration all the evidence and facts given in court, the magistrate sentenced Worrell to 18 months.
