Professional boxing is set to return to the Ancient County next month when Mark Thom Promotions stages a three-fight card on December 13 at the Area-H ground in Rose Hall, Berbice. The highlight of the night will be the Richardson Williamson and Delon Allicock showdown for the vacant national super bantamweight title.
In the two supporting bouts over six rounds, Guyana’s super-middleweight champion Deryck Richmond will face off with Romeo Norville while Rose Hall Town’s Keshawn Simon will oppose with veteran pugilist Mark Murray. Allicock lost to Richardson by unanimous decision in July 2012 but defeated Carlton Skeete by knockout early last year. Richardson also has victories over David Thomas, Orlando Rogers and Rudolph Fraser but suffered losses to Skeete, Fraser in a rematch, Dexter `Kid’ Marques, Prince Lee Isidore and Quincy Gomes.
