The third staging of Flex Night Berbice will be held today at the Skeldon High School.
According to a press release from Flex Night’s Director, Donald Sinclair, the event, which will see the Ancient County’s best musclemen compete for trophies is a pre-Flex Night showdown for the musclemen.
Bodybuilders from gyms in Berbice will take to the stage to see who will emerge to do battle on the National Cultural Centre Flex Night International stage on December 7.
This is the third consecutive Flex Night Berbice event. In 2012 the event was held at the Berbice High School. It moved to Port Mourant, Corentyne last year and now to Skeldon, Upper Corentyne. The Lindon Murray organized, Raheem Ali-sponsored show begins from 19:00hrs following the weigh in at 17:30hrs.
Several gyms in Regions five and six will be fielding bodybuilders at the Skeldon event. They include the Windero Gym, Fitness Zone, Lifetime Fitness, House of Pain Gym, Back Centre Gym and the Taj Mahal Gym.
The latter gym has two female participants who will be making their debut on the stage. Caerus Cipriani, holder of the Mr. Fitness Paradise 2014 title will be making a special guest appearance.
The release added that Flex Night Inc. is committed to giving technical and administrative support to the Flex Night Berbice, since the event helps to promote the sport of bodybuilding in the Ancient County and to stimulate participation not only in Flex Night events but also in other national and federation sanctioned contests. Past winners include Alston Lancaster (2012) and Dwayne Mars (2013).
