Health 2000 Incorporated continued their support of the Petra Organization Girls Primary Schools Pee Wee football event, donating a large assortment of vitamins yesterday to the competing teams at their headquarters in Industrial Site.
Petra Co-Director Troy Mendonca upon receiving the Vitamix Vitamins and Mineral Syrup donation on behalf of the schools, thanked the company for their timely contribution while stating that all systems are in place for a wonderful tourney.
Managing Director Malaika Persaud in a brief remarks said, “I’m very honoured to be part of this tournament, especially since it involves young girls and I can tell you that when we were initially approached it was for us to sponsor the boys….However we sat down and discussed with the Petra Organisation the need to have one done for girls and they agreed.” She also said the event is a great initiative as there is a dearth of sporting opportunities for little girls and the company is pleased to be associated with the venture. Further, Persaud said she is extremely pleased with the efforts and direction taken by the Petra Organization through their youth programmes and she hopes that the relationship between the two entities will prosper going forward.
The inaugural tournament is slated to commence on Saturday 15 with six matches at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue from 10am.
