Dear Editor,
The idea which is promoted as the brainchild of Minister Ali to cover the canals in downtown Georgetown is not a new one. The private sector proposed this over a decade ago and it was shelved because of lack of interest by those persons who were approached on the subject and would have benefited but could not agree on who would be in control.
I am sure that those members of the private sector who were involved would be willing to share their knowledge of the work already done in this area.
Yours faithfully,
Doreen de Caires
