Two persons were yesterday fined for stealing electricity.
Patricia Cornette and Tracey Johnny appeared before Magistrate Ann McLennan charged with fraudulently converting electricity, property of Guyana Power & Light Inc (GPL), to their homes for their own use.
They both pleaded guilty to the charges read to them and were fined $50,000 each or eight weeks’ imprisonment.
