Team Guyana will continue its 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games (CAC) group campaign today when they faceoff with cellar occupants Bermuda in their second Pool-B matchup at the High Performance Centre in Veracruz, Mexico.
The local ladies currently sit third in standings following their opening loss to the Dominican Republic by a 4-1 margin on Saturday at the same venue.
Bermuda currently occupy the cellar spot following identical 5-0 defeats to defending champs Trinidad and Tobago and the Dominican Republic on November 15th and 17th correspondingly.
Guyana were slated to tackle Trinidad and Tobago in their second scheduled matchup on Monday. However, the matchup was cancelled due severe winds in the Vera Cruz district which forced a shutdown of the playing area.
They will now faceoff with the defending champs in their final group fixture at the same location tomorrow. The top two teams in the tournament will qualify for the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto
