A man was yesterday placed on $25,000 bail after he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts facing three separate charges.
It is alleged on November 12 in the Cuyuni River area, Seon David, 28, of 49 Haslington, East Coast Demerara unlawfully assaulted Marlon McKenzie.
It is also alleged that on the same day, David made use of threatening behaviour to McKenzie. And the last charge against David read that he also made use of threatening language to Trevor Kitt.
David pleaded not guilty to the three charges read to him by Magistrate Ann McLennan.
Attorney Paul Fung-a-Fat, told the court that his client told him on the day in question the boys were stealing from his home which resulted in him facing the mentioned charges.
Fung-a-Fat asked for reasonable bail to be granted to his client.
Prosecutor Deniro Jones had no objection to bail which was granted and the matter was adjourned for December 15 at the Kamarang Magistrate’s Court.
