Team Guyana recorded their second victory of the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games hockey tourney, defeating Jamaica 4-2 on penalty strikes after normal time finished 0-0 in the 5-8 positional plate event yesterday.
With a winner unable to be found during the 70 minutes of regulation time, Guyana would take a 1-0 lead in the shoot-out as Gabriel Xavier scored in their first attempt while custodian Alysa Xavier denied Jamaica’s Demi Nicholson.
