Guyana Softball Cup 4 champions Wolf Warriors (Open) and Floodlight (Masters) stormed into the finals of the Ramchand/Rohan Auto Spares Softball Tournament.
Both teams proved their mettle with convincing victories in their semi-final matches. Wolf Warriors defeated Farm by six wickets in the semi-finals played at the Police Ground last Sunday. Farm batted first and made 154 for 9 off 20 overs, with Avinash Sookdeo, 25, and Lalta Karim, 22, the top scorers while Narine Bailey took 5-20 bowling for Wolf Warriors. In reply Wolf Warriors made 155-4 off 14.5 overs. Safraz Karim and Lincoln Leander were their principal scorers with unbeaten scores of 46 and 36 respectively. K. Ramkumar took 2-15, bowling for Farm.
In the other Open semi-final Regal got a scare from newcomers Uprisers.
