On Tuesday night at Le Meridien Pegasus, the Guyana Rugby Football Union hosted a formal thank you cocktail reception for the major players that will allow the national men’s rugby team to compete at the December 3-4 NACRA 7s championship in Mexico.
Representatives of the Edward B. Beharry Group of Companies, Citizens Bank, Ming’s Products and Services and president of the GOA, K Juman-Yassin were some of the notables in attendance at the gathering which included the players, the top brass of the union and the media.
During his time on the microphone, President of the GRFU, Peter Green thanked the entities for their funding and noted that for any discipline to excel there must be united support of the government, the private sector, the public and the media.
