President’s College overcame home side St Roses High by a 69-54 margin when the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation u-19 High School Exchange Program continued on Friday at the St Roses Basketball Court on Church Street.
Eli Gennis led the East Coast Demerara outfit with 21 points while point guard Jahleel Duke and Shaquille Grant were next best scorers in the hard-fought victory with 16 and 12 points correspondingly.
Meanwhile Nathan Saul shot his way to a game high 26 points for the hosts. He was supported by Anfernee Jervis who scored 10 points.
Contested over two 20-minute periods, the home side failed to capitalize on their large crowd support as the low scoring first half finished with the scores locked on 22-22.
With the raucous viewership a non-factor, the East Coast Demerara outfit outscored the home side by a 47-32 margin in a high scoring second half to clinch the deserved victory.
