Team Coco’s
ended the 2014 cycling season on a high yesterday, winning the Arokium Funeral Parlour sponsored 60-mile road race in Berbice.
The national wheelsman who had a breakout season this year, led Michael Anthony and club mate, Junior Niles onto the podium. Orville Hinds, Paul DeNobrega, Chris Holder, Marlon Williams and Mario King filled out the top eight paid positions for the sun-baked event which pedalled off at New Amsterdam, proceeded to No. 43 Village and returned to the point of origin.
Eastman’s winning time for the Flying Ace Cycle Club-organized fixture was two hours, 31 minutes and 31 seconds. It was his fifth win of the cycling calendar.
Anthony pocketed two sprint prizes while Eastman, Anthony, Hinds, DeNobrega, Stephano Husbands and Andre Abdool snared one apiece.
