Rim Kings registered a perfect record of four wins in four matches when the Mackeson King of the Rim 3×3 Basketball Challenge commenced on Sunday at the Independence Boulevard Basketball Court in Albouystown.
Rim Kings squeaked past Target by a 21-17 score line while they defeated Knights by a 11-7 margin. In their other two matchups, the Kings dismantled Rockers 19-9 and Rim Rockers by a 16-6 score respectively.
Also in the winner’s circle were Target who concluded the opening night with three wins and a solitary loss and Knights who claimed two wins and two losses.
Team Target defeated Rim Rockers 17-10 before edging Knights by a 6-5 margin. They would claim their third win of the evening via a walkover. Meanwhile, Knights defeated Rim Rockers 11-4 and Rockers 10-7.
As a result of the wins, Rim Kings and Target advanced to the next stage on Thursday at the California Square. However the tournament is slated continue tonight at the Plaisance Basketball court on the East Coast of Demerara.
