Dear Editor,
I hope someone responsible from government responsibly can come out to see the condition of the Mahaicony branch road and get it repaired.
The road is in a very bad state, with huge potholes at several locations which cause real difficulty for farmers, drivers and people living in the area. With the present rainfall the road is getting from bad to worse daily and no one does anything; even the Regional Chairman travels here often and he does nothing about it.
Drivers do not know where to drive their vehicle to avoid falling into big holes. A few weeks ago a truck loaded with paddy overturned, and the truck driver barely escaped death. However, the paddy spilt on the roadway and the vehicle was damaged.
The Mahaicony branch road is a vital access road for all farmers to transport their paddy, rice, lumber and other produce.
Also, the Burma road and the Cane Grove road are all in bad condition.
Yours faithfully,
Roopchand
