Relatives of a De Willem West Coast Demerara (WCD) teen who has not been seen since she left home for school five days ago are asking the public to help in locating her.
Fourteen-year-old Seema Poloram also known as ‘Usha’ of lot ‘E’ De Willem WCD has been missing since December 3.
According to her aunt Marilyn Poloram, the Uitvlugt Secondary School student bid her 70-year-old grandmother (who is her guardian) goodbye and left her De Willem home for school around 8 am last Wednesday.
Marilyn Poloram said her niece was not “wayward” and there was no dispute in the family. Moreover, she said that prior to the day she vanished, the girl had always returned from school at 4 pm the latest.
A missing person’s report was made at the Leonora Police Station on December 4.
Seema was last seen by friends at school during the morning hours. However, her aunt said no one could tell the family when she disappeared. She was last seen wearing a blue dress and white shirt, with a blue tie.
“If anyone has her captive, we are asking them to let her come home to her family,” the aunt said. Additionally, she sent a message to Seema that the family missed her and wanted her home.
