Cleveland ‘Little Kenyan’ Forde powered his way to two podium finishes when the annual Run Barbados 10km and half marathon events were contested over the weekend.
The distance ace finished third in the 10km race on Saturday and mirrored the placing one day later for the 13-mile fixture which ended on Bay Street.
Forde was runner up to defending champion Richard Kessio (31 minutes, 41 seconds) of Kenya and Rwandan Disi Diuedonne in both races.
His placings were tops among all the Caribbean athletes.
On the distaff side, Alika Morgan completed both events but finished just off the podium. She finished fourth in the 10km and the half marathon.
A resurgent Morgan was bested by Kenya’s, Leach Kigen (37m:58s), England’s Amy Chalk and Trinidad’s Tonya Nero.
Nero (1hr:25m:16s) then rebounded to upset Leach in the half marathon with Chalk, 39, once again completing the podium.
