Weeks after being rushed to a city hospital in a critical condition, Chief Education Officer Olato Sam is now out of the hospital and recuperating.
The news was relayed by Education Minister Priya Manickchand who further said that Sam had been admitted after suffering serious blood pressure problems. Sam, she said, had not been aware he had suffered from the health complication.
“From all indications he’s going to recover fully; we truly appreciate the concern…but I have to say that I’m not concerned anymore; he’s fine, he’s stable,” Manickchand said.
About two weeks ago, Sam was admitted to a hospital under unknown circumstances. He was subsequently moved out of the intensive care unit but had still been under observation.
Manickchand had indicated to this newspaper that if Sam needed time to rest it would be given to him. She had further said that the ministry was awaiting the doctor’s orders.
