Entries for Sunday’s Guyana Cup Rematch Horse Race Meet which will run off at the Port Mourant Turf Club will close today.

The D and Lower seven and a half-furlong event will be the feature of the nine-race card. The winning stable will be rewarded with an appetizing $1.5M, while the second, third and fourth place finishers will receive $750,000, $375,000 and $187,500 respectively.
Thoroughbreds namely Treacle, Princess She is Not, California Strike, Settle in Seattle, Curfew Tower, Red and Lovely and Guyana Cup winner, CP Got Even are scheduled to saddle up in the highly anticipated event.
Entrance fee per horse is $150,000.
The co-feature is classified for Three Year-Old Guyana and West Indian Bred horses. They will also compete for 1500 metres and the top stable will cash in $1M.
Sunday’s meet will commence with a five-furlong race for horses classified `G3’ and Lower. The top stable is set to pocket $150,000 with the runners up taking home $75,000, $37,500 and $18,750 respectively.
There will be three other five-furlong races on Sunday, the `H’ and Lower event, horses in the ‘I’3 and lower class and the other for two-year-old Guyana-bred steed.
The winner of the `H’ and Lower race will earn $250,000, the top finisher in the I3 and Lower will ride off with $200,00 while the winner of the two-year-old event will receive $300 000.
There will also be three six-furlong races for horses classified `G3’ and Lower, G1 and Lower and for Two Year- Old West Indian Bred horses.
The winner of the `G3’ and Lower race will take home $150,000. G1’s winning stable will receive $500,000 and the winner of the two-year-old event will receive $600 000.
