The Working People’s Alliance is inviting the public to a symposium on the prorogation of Parliament today at the National Library, Main and Church Streets, Georgetown at 4.30 pm. Admission is free. Stabroek News had erroneously reported yesterday that the symposium was to be held yesterday. Stabroek News regrets the error.
A release from the group said that the Panel comprises: Distinguished Professor Clive Thomas who will speak on `Promotion and degeneration of the criminal state’; Carl Greenidge who will speak on ` Using prorogation as a political weapon’ and Christopher Ram who will speak on `The legality or otherwise of prorogation, and its consequences’.
