Residents of Company Road, Buxton have been without power since yesterday after this rotten utility pole collapsed.
Leader of the Opposition Brigadier David Granger on Wednesday attended the annual Christmas luncheon of the Guyana Veterans Legion. The Guyana Veterans Legion is made up of retired servicemen and women from the Guyana Defence Force, the Guyana Peoples Militia and the Guyana National Service.
On December 12, 2014 Scotiabankers of the Credit Risk and Collections Departments travelled to the Ancient Country to make a donation of food hampers to the Alpha Children’s Home at New Amsterdam, a release from the bank said. A representative from the home accepted the gift on behalf of the children. The orphanage houses 16 children, several of whom require special needs care, the release said.
