Tutorial High booked their spot in the semi-final round, overcoming St. Mary’s by a 4-1 score line when the Premiership Group u-17 Secondary Schools Football tourney continued yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground.
Terence Shepherd gave St. Mary’s the early lead as he found the back of the net in the fifth minute. However Tutorial High would level the score line in the 38th minute through a Mario Padmore conversion.
The Woolford Avenue side would then take the lead for first time in the matchup as David Coates found the back of the net in the 60th minute. It would then become 3-1 10 minutes later as Coates sealed his second half double. The win would then be completed in the 73rd minute as Zion Gray netted.
Due to the win, Tutorial High will now match skills with St. Georges at the same venue tomorrow (Friday) at 13:00hrs for a place in the grand finale.
Also earning a spot in the final four was Queenstown Secondary who edged Lodge Secondary 1-0 compliments of Wesley Benjamin 33rd minute strike. With the win, Queenstown Secondary will now faceoff with North Ruimveldt in the second semi-final.
