Team Guyana suffered its first loss on their tour of Trinidad and Tobago, going down to the host nation by a 4-1 score line in their final fixture on Thursday.
Victorious in their previous three outings, Guyana would quickly fall behind as Tarig Marcano opened the scoring for the winners with a strike into the bottom left corner of the goal. Jordan Reynos would then make it 2-0 compliments of a penalty corner finish in the 21st minute.
Guyana would fall further behind five minutes later as Marcano sealed his double with a penalty corner conversion to give his side a 3-0 lead going into half time.
Aroydy Branford would eventually pull once back for the local side in the second half from the penalty spot after being fouled within the area. However the matchup would end as it started with Marcano netting, completing his hat trick in the final minute of the fixture.
This developmental tour is the first step in a two year preparation programme designed to expose the team to a series of high level competitions as they prepare for the junior Pan American Cup in Toronto, Canada scheduled for June of 2016.
