Magistrate Ann McLennan on Friday remanded to prison a man charged with unlawful possession of a gun and matching ammunition after he pleaded not guilty in court.
It is alleged on December 16 at Mc Doom, Georgetown, Desmond Richards, 24, of 50 Middle Street, Georgetown, had in his possession eight 9 mm ammunition without being the holder of a firearm licence. Also, on the same date and at the said location, he had in his possession one 9 mm pistol without being the holder of a firearm licence.
Richards pleaded not guilty to both charges, when he appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court 2.
However, no facts were presented to the court.
Richards was remanded and ordered to return to court on January 12 for reports and fixture.
