Dear Editor,
May I take this opportunity to remind the Guyana Chronicle, Guyana Times, Stabroek News and Kaieteur News that it is the media’s job to relay information in a timely and unbiased manner so that a wider audience is catered for. It is not the media’s job to hold the government of the day accountable. That is the job for the political opposition.
If you view it as your job to hold the government ‘accountable’ then I suggest that you would also need to hold the opposition accountable to be unbiased. And vice-versa.
There is too much political pandering in Guyana by the media.
Yours faithfully,
Sean McLean
