Dead Editor,
Mr Granger and Mr Ramjattan should take note of the following:
There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which taken at the flood, leads to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures
(Shakespeare)
APNU and the AFC believe that now is the opportune time for a coalition to unseat the incumbent administration. But as they seem to be wavering, they could bungle or lose their opportunity.
On the other side, the PPP/C will not be easily ejected from office by the constant jolts of the combined opposition. Thus a tough electoral battle is ahead. The party in power will do its utmost to win a second term, in order to ensure other plans and projections materialize, and also to redress some wrongs. Therefore, the Augean stables cannot be cleansed overnight. Should the PPP/C regain the parliamentary majority they lost, it would be a case if from paradise lost to paradise regained.
Yours faithfully,
George Carrington
