Food for the Poor Guyana incorporated (FFTP) shared food hampers to bring the joy of Christmas to the underprivileged residents in Timehri, Land of Canaan, Tiger Bay and D’urban Backlands on December 22.
According to a FFTP press release, the donations were made possible through the contributions of Beepat’s, Muneshwer’s, Edward B Beharry and Company Limited, National Milling Company Incorporated, Federal Management Systems and several others to their Christmas food drive. It was through the success of the food drive they were able to donate the large food hampers to the residents, the report said. The recipients expressed gratitude as they said it was of immense help to them during the Christmas season.
