Banks DIH through its Coca-Cola brand brought Christmas cheer to 26 persons during its ‘Make Someone Happy’ promotion which was held over 10 days leading up to Christmas Day.
Coca-Cola Brand Manager Jennifer Khan said the idea behind the programme was to perform a selfless act of unexpected kindness to either help or cheer up a known or unknown person at Christmas. Callers to the programme hosted on HJ 94.1 Boom FM radio by Feliz Robertson extended well wishes to relatives and friends which made them eligible for prizes such as washing machines, dining sets, gas stoves, cellular phones, hampers, bicycles, tricycles and other toys.
The 26 winners were fêted at a presentation ceremony at Banks DIH’s Sports Club at Thirst Park on Monday. The recipients are Marva Vanooten, Jewel Fredericks, Sedoney Calder, Anthony Thomas, Lawatie Persaud, Mona John, Mariam Grant, Edwin Loo, Gillian Samuel, Ivan and Nandranee Jacobis, Yevonne Nurse, Jaime Skeete, Brandon and Bradley Anderson, Simone Latouhe, Kimini Cummings, Aden Black, Alex Persaud, Alex Fredericks, Shack Sears and the children of Alana Hariff.
Banks Sales and Marketing executive Carlton Joao said he along with the producers and distributors of Coca-Cola were overjoyed to see the smiling faces of the winners.
“The promotion brought smiles to so many persons including toddlers, grandparents and physically challenged persons in time for the festive season…we are extremely delighted,” he said.
The promotion was held from December 8-19.
