Dear Editor,
There is a jingle which is played on the radio. Its subliminal message is that for excellent customer service, Gift Land Office Max is the place to go. For me, the only business place in Georgetown which continually offers superior customer service is Nigel’s Supermarket.
From the time one enters to the time of leaving, the staff is helpful, courteous and gracious even when one item only, is purchased. My basis of comparison can be the treatment meted out at the Survival Supermarket where on the “Senior Citizens” shopping day the cashier rudely demands proof of age. A requirement, which she emphasized, is management’s policy. However, at Nigel’s, the cashier sensibly and pleasantly requests the supervisor to effect the necessary adjustments to the bill to permit the senior citizen’s discount. No fuss. No inquisition.
To my mind, a satisfied customer is the best advertisement for unsurpassed customer service.
Yours faithfully,
Sylvia Conway
