The national senior cricket team known as the Guyana Jaguars yesterday began preparing for the upcoming NAGICO Super 50 one-day tournament billed for January 15-24 in the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago with fitness drills at the Guyana National Stadium at Providence.
The Jaguars are in Group ‘A’ and will battle defending champs Barbados Pride, Windward Islands Volcanoes and the Combined Campuses and Colleges in the preliminary rounds with an eye to reaching the semifinals.
The players were taken through their paces yesterday by the Guyana Jaguars management team comprising Head Coach Esaun Crandon, Assistant Coach/Manager Rayon Griffith and assistants Michael Franco Hyles, Clive Grimmond and Territorial Development Officer Colin Stuart.
Above the players are seen going through some of the drill which included a beep test, and a 10-metre and a 40-metre sprint.
