A car which was being driven by a policeman burst into flames yesterday morning after it encountered mechanical and electrical failure while being driven along Home-stretch Avenue.
When contacted, ‘A’ Division commander Assistant Commission-er Clifton Hicken said that the vehicle encountered mechanical problems and subsequently burst into flames.
The commander added that the police rank who was driving the vehicle at the time was not injured. It was not clear who owned the car. The shell of the vehicle along with the damaged engine was placed in the corner of the road yesterday afternoon.
