BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC- Two former Barbados captains have been named in a 14 man squad to defend their title in the NAGICO Super 50 tournament which will be played from next week Thursday in Trinidad and Tobago.
Kirk Edwards and Ryan Hinds are part of a squad that also includes West Indies test opener Kraigg Brathwaite.
Brathwaite, also Barbados’s four-day captain, is returning from the tour of South Africa where he was among the leading scorers in the just ended test series which the Caribbean cricketers lost.
Experienced pacers Tino Best and Fidel Edwards have also been included in the squad which was selected after four trial matches.
Kevin Stoute has been retained as captain of the team which begins its title defense with a game against Combined Campuses and Colleges at the National Cricket Centre.
