In a development that should surprise no one the battle for control of Guyana’s cricket continued on Sunday with the staging of the Essequibo Cricket Board elections won by incumbent Fizul Bacchus and cries of unfair play by challenger Prince Holder.
Bacchus, on Sunday was reportedly returned unopposed during the board’s Biennial General Meeting (BGM), but according to a report in another section of the media Holder questioned the “credibility” of the process and, the results.
Contacted yesterday for a comment on Holder’s claims that the elections were not held in accordance with the constitution of the ECB, Bacchus adamantly declared that the results were binding as there will not be another elections.
“That’s the end of the elections! We dealt with everything under the ECB’s constitution which said that the
