Charged with threatening to poison the father of her child, a woman was yesterday released on her own recognisance and placed on a bond to keep the peace.
Lillich Lynch, of 164 Laing Avenue, pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that she threatened to poison Mark Thomas.
Lynch and Thomas share the same house. Thomas told Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry in Georgetown that Lynch doesn’t care for him or their child and she often leaves the home without informing him and spends hours away.
Lynch, however, noted that she cares for the child but since she is a sex worker her time is occupied with her job.
After hearing the submissions from the couple, the magistrate placed the woman on a bond to keep the peace and released her on self-bail. She will appear for trial in Court 11 on January 26.
