The scheduled start of the 11th Busta Champion-of-Champions limited overs competition in Berbice on Sunday was washed out due to showers which left grounds in the Ancient County waterlogged.
Some four matches were to be contested on Sunday.No date has been set for the recommencement.
The tournament is to be contested by the top eight first division clubs in Berbice.
Those teams are Young Warriors, Blairmont, West Berbice, Bermine, Upper Corentyne, Albion, Port Mourant and Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets the defending champions.
The tournament was billed to start in December of last year but again rain proved to be a bugbear.
The respective winners of the tournament are expected to pocket $100 000 and a trophy for first place while runners-up take home $50 000 and a trophy. Also, the final match is will be broadcasted live on National Communications Network (NCN) radio on a date and at a venue to be announced.
