The Lodge Alpha #1594, on the roll of the Grand Lodge of Scotland (Alphabets), has donated a cheque for an undisclosed sum to the Uncle Eddie’s Home as part of its benevolence programme.
According to a press release from Lodge Alpha #1594, the institution’s membership were delighted to have contributed to the Home which it says offers superior supervised care, meals, and other activities for Guyanese in their twilight years.
In the handing over ceremony, Secretary of the Lodge Reginald Brotherson expressed the institution’s commitment to the enhancement of the Home as they embark on strategically executing and sustaining their benevolence programme.
The contribution has come at a most opportune time, Secretary of the Board of Directors of Home, Maria Rodrigues said, as the home is currently entering a massive refurbishment phase.
