International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Regional Technical Development Officer of the South East Caribbean Anton Corneal, held discussions with Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Technical Director Claude Bolton regarding the creating of a Technical Development Programme.
The two-day visit, which focused on the blueprint and implementation of the programme, is in keeping with the world body’s technical programme and objectives.
“It is so very encouraging to see the support, guidance, and commitment that FIFA has for its Member Associations to succeed. On behalf of our players and Guyana, I would like to thank Mr. Corneal for reviewing our plans and aiding us with a road map to success,” Bolton stated in a press release.

“FIFA is clear that the foundation to a sound development programme that will have a positive and long-term impact on the footballing future of Guyana must focus on Grassroots, Youth Development, Women’s Development, and Coaching Education,” the release added.
According to Bolton,”This too, will be our driving force for the good of the Game in Guyana.”
