The inaugural Greatest Guinness of the Streets West Demerara edition will kick off today at the Pouderoyen Tarmac from 19:00hrs with the eight slated fixtures.
In the opening group-A matchup, Golden Stars will faceoff with Brothers United while DeKinderen United and Vergenoegen All-Stars will lock horns in the second encounter in the group at 19:30hrs.
At. 20:00hrs, Patentia Street Ballers and Raiders will do battle in a group-B affair while Majie Street and Demerara Speed Boat Service will faceoff at 20:30hrs in the second matchup of the section. Young Warriors will then oppose Jetty from 21:00hrs in a group-C showdown while West Side Ballers and home side Pouderoyen Showstoppers will match skills from 21:30hrs in the final group-C engagement.
In the final matches of the night, Admiral United will faceoff with Den Amstel FC from 22:00hrs in a group-D showdown and Uitvlugt will oppose Showtime from 22:30hrs in the second fixture of the section.
Winners of the event will receive $300,000 and the championship trophy while the second place side will collect $150,000 and the runners-up accolade. The third and fourth place finishers will collect $100,000 and $75,000 respectively.
