A 72-year-old man was yesterday charged with sexually penetrating a nine-year-old girl.
An unrepresented Ronald Peters was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge of sexual activity with a minor when it was read to him at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts. The charge against Peters stated that he committed the crime last December.
The proceedings were held in-camera.
The accused was placed on $250,000 bail by Magistrate Fabayo Azore, who set February 5th as the date for the next hearing.
