The 2015 track and field season moves into high gear today with a Development Meet at the Camp Ayanganna ground.
As in the past, pre-entries are not needed. So any one can simply show up and compete. Competition today will begin at 13:00hrs.
According to a release from the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG), junior, youth and senior athletes will compete in 60M, 150m, 300m, 600m and the Javelin, Discus and Shot Put events.
Developmental Meets are used to prime athletes and keep them active for the traditional races at the National and Senior Championships.
An updated list of activities for 2015 will soon be made available.
