The inclement weather continues to affect the Guyana Jaguars preparation for their upcoming fifth round match against Jamaica.
For the third day in succession there was no play in the Guyana Cricket Board’s three day practice match at the Georgetown Cricket Club ground, Bourda.
The players had no alternative but to participate in net sessions and physical exercises at the venue.
The three-day match was scheduled to commence on Thursday and was to serve as match preparation for the Jaguars as the prepare to take on Jamaica in their top-of-the-table clash from Friday in Jamaica in the West Indies Cricket Board’s (WICB)/ Professional Cricket League (PCL).
The Jaguars lead the point’s standing with Jamaica in second place.
After yesterday’s net session, Vishal Singh, who scored a century in the fourth round encounter said that as it is the team is confident though it would have been nice to have a game scenario. Singh added that
he believes the team will do well.
The Jaguars will continue their preparation today at the GCC ground and the players are to engage in more net sessions before departing for Jamaica on Wednesday.
