West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul is among nine Guyanese selected to represent the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the 2015 CPL T20 tournament planned later this year, at the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Players’ Draft yesterday in Kingston, Jamaica.
The 40-year-old left handed batsman was bagged by the Warriors’ selection panel which included newly appointed coach Carl Hooper, in the eleventh round at a cost of US$10,000.
This is the second time that Chanderpaul has been bought by a franchise; the first being at the inaugural draft where he was chosen by the St Lucia Zouks though he withdrew due to a contractual agreement with English County Club Derbyshire.
