Four Guyanese referees will be on international duty in the preliminary round of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) 2018 International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) World Cup.
According to a press release, Sherwin Moore (Referee), Venton Mars (Assistant Referee 1), Andrew Porter (Assistant Referee 2) and Sherwin Johnson (Fourth Official) have been appointed by FIFA to officiate in the St. Kitts & Nevis vs. Turks & Caicos Islands match on 23 March 2015 at the Warner Park Sporting Complex in St. Kitts and Nevis.
In addition, Trevor Johnson has been appointed by FIFA as the Fourth Official for the U.S. Virgin Islands vs. Barbados match on 29 March 2015 at the Lionel Roberts Park in the United States Virgin Islands. “The GFF has confirmed the participation of all the aforementioned referees to FIFA,” the release stated.
