Peace lilies thrive in bright filtered light and must be kept out of direct sunlight.
They are two popular varieties of Peace Lilies. The S. wallisii was named after Gustav Wallis who found it in the Colombia jungle and brought it to Europe in 1824. S. wallisii is a dwarf variety which grows on a short petioles approximately 1 foot in height.
The second one, S. Mauna Loa is a hybrid which produces large white flowers and grows approximately 2 feet in height.
Peace lilies grow well in a mixture of fibre dust and potting soil. It also likes to be moist, so you can mist the leaves every other day. (To be continued)
