The 2015 track and field season continues today with the third Development Meet at Camp Ayanganna ground.
As in the past, pre-entries are not needed. So any one can simply show up and compete at the AAG organized fixture. Competition tomorrow will begin at 11:00hrs noon.
The traditional distances and events will be contested; that is – the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500, 3000m and 5000m track events and the Discus, Shot Put, Javelin and Long Jump field events.
The meet was organized at the request of the coaches following last Sunday’s meet. They have asked for full distances to be contested to gauge the performance of their junior athletes ahead of the CARIFTA Trials set for March 7-8 at the same venue.
The first two meets featured non-traditional distances – the 60m, 150m, 300m, 600m and 2000m track events.
