East Demerara Football Association (EDFA) Stag Beer League champions Victoria Kings officially received their prizes Friday at a simple presentation ceremony held at the Ansa McAl Boardroom in Beterverwagting.
Kings clinched the first place package of $200,000 and the championship trophy after finishing the two round tourney on three points. Receiving the second place package of $150,000 and the respective accolade was Mahaica Determinators who finished four points behind.
Finishing in the third position with 24 points was Buxton United who edged Ann’ Grove through the goal difference tie breaker after both sides finished on equal footing. Buxton’s goal difference of 21 was superior to Ann’s Grove goal difference of 19.
For their showing, Buxton United walked away with $75,000 while Ann’s Grove rounded out the top four by collecting $50,000.
