Media XI opener Ravi Persaud was recently presented with a pair of batting gloves compliments of Tiger Sports, Old Road, Enmore, East Coast Demerara following a good batting performance last Sunday.
Persaud was the standout batsman with 29 runs when the Guyana Media XI took on Cultural Cricket Club ground, Canal Number Two, West Bank Demerara, Sunday.
Following the match Tiger Sports boss Sheik Mohamed, who appeared as a guest player for the home team, presented a pair of batting gloves to Persaud.
Mohamed is also a former national wicketkeeper and Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) selector.
Immediately after the game, Mohamed made the presentation to the young batsman, saying that he was impressed with the way Persaud went about constructing his innings.
Persaud expressed gratitude to Mohamed for the kind gesture, adding that he is grateful for the support.
